If you recall, Mr Eazi’s song, “Leg Over” has had people all over Africa dancing ever since it came out in 2016. Now, the dancehall star has not only released the music video for the single, which features Wizkid, Maleek Berry and Eddie Kadi, but he’s dropped a 14 track mixtape too! Is Prof Sagay Nigeria’s problem?

It is not irrational to imagine that the current efforts of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) at redressing the on-going heating-up of the polity by its officials in government can hardly work. To start with, although the people involved purport to belong to the same political party, they are not people of like minds. That has been the fate of Nigeria’s political parties since 1999 which all in all are groupings that are neither premised on any ideology/philosophy nor inspired by the same manifesto. In fact, Nigerian politicians have individual agenda to which they subordinate not only the goals of their parties but also the well-being of the nation. The end result is that the nation is hurt leaving everyone to convey his frustrations in different ways. For the Catholic Bishop of Maiduguri Diocese, Most Rev. Oliver Dashe, it was probably enough just to put it mildly as he did a few days back when he said “President Muhammadu Buhari was a lone ranger in his anti-corruption crusa...

Davido’s If VS Runtown’s Mad Over You | The Biggest Song Of The Year So Far ?

Image
The first quarter of the year has come and gone and there were quite a number of exciting songs that really hit up our playlist. Two songs that enjoyed major massive airplay not just in Nigeria but also globally are Runtown’s “Mad Over You” and Davido’s “IF” with arguments going down in a lot of circles as to “which song is the biggest in the first-quarter of the year”. Mad Over You has really done much to advancing the music person of Runtown, and the light in which we saw him. The ‘Alkayida’ influenced sound has grown very impressively on both fans and non-fans of the Eric Manny superstar who was sometime embroiled in a label-management mess having him on an inevitable music hiatus. If on the other hand, is the very first of music projects after OBO, Davido tanked his deal with international music merchants, Sony, because all they wanted to do was tamper with his sound. But he wasn’t going to have that. Now the common denominator both songs and their artistes share...
